Katelyn Caselli, MHA, RAC-CT, OT, is a healthcare executive and occupational therapist serving as Vice President of Customer Operations & Growth at Profility. She brings more than 15 years of experience across healthcare, combining frontline clinical practice with operational and strategic leadership. Katelyn’s foundation as an Occupational Therapist shapes her patient-centered approach, grounded in firsthand experience within post-acute care environments and a deep understanding of the challenges clinicians and providers face in delivering efficient, high-quality care.
Her career began with over a decade as a practicing occupational therapist, where she encountered the systemic inefficiencies that often limit patient care delivery—ranging from payer complexity and authorization delays to heavy administrative workloads. These experiences revealed a broader industry challenge: clinicians spending more time navigating paperwork than providing direct care. This realization became the catalyst for her transition into leadership roles across rehabilitation and healthcare operations, where she focused on improving workflows, strengthening care coordination, and driving operational excellence across post-acute settings.
In her current role at Profility, Katelyn leverages her clinical background and operational expertise to help advance physician-built, clinically driven AI solutions designed to address long-standing industry pain points. As part of a team developing medical-grade AI over the past six years, she is focused on transforming how providers manage authorizations, reduce denials, and improve patient placement decisions. Her work centers on giving clinicians time back, ensuring providers are properly reimbursed, and enabling patients to access the right care at the right time. Katelyn’s greatest professional achievement is bridging frontline clinical insight with innovation—helping build solutions that directly support the clinicians still working within the system she once navigated herself.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I think the key to my success has been resilience - continuing to push through in those moments when you're starting to go down your leadership journey and you feel overlooked. It's about speaking up when it's uncomfortable, learning different sides of business, and choosing courage over comfort. I believe women lead with intelligence and intuition, and we have vision, we have grit, we have compassion. So I think really just staying strong in your voice, despite different hierarchies or other genders out there, different personalities - that's what has made the difference for me.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say that you, as a woman, you do not have to choose between being powerful and being compassionate. We can be both. I think a lot of times in the industry, people can confuse kindness with weakness, and patience for passivity. So I think it's important not to underestimate yourself. Really lead with transformation, but still lead with your heart.
