Katharyn Holmberg is the founder and CEO of Sinful Co., an e-commerce company in the retail bra and underwear industry based in Broomfield, Colorado. She launched the business in January 2026 after approximately three years of planning and development, turning a long-held idea into a formal venture. Her entrepreneurial journey reflects a hands-on approach to building a brand from the ground up, with responsibilities spanning product development, manufacturing coordination, marketing, advertising, and business operations.

The inspiration for Sinful Co. came during an unexpected late-night conversation with a childhood friend, when Katharyn expressed frustration with how poorly fitting and unappealing intimate apparel options felt in the market. That moment sparked the idea to create a better, more thoughtful alternative. Since then, she has taken on the many demands of startup life, including securing business permits, developing product patterns, and managing early-stage brand growth while balancing work in culinary roles such as server and chef.

Katharyn is currently completing an entrepreneurship certification at Front Range Community College, further strengthening her foundation in business ownership and startup development. Her background includes experience in food service and culinary training, which has contributed to her work ethic and adaptability. She defines her early success not by scale but by action—taking the step to start her company after years of planning—and is guided by values of authenticity, kindness, and honesty in both her personal and professional life.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success primarily to consistent hard work and perseverance. While I may not always be certain of every contributing factor, I believe it ultimately comes down to the effort I’ve put in over time and my commitment to turning my goals and aspirations into reality.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was from another entrepreneur who told me that you just need to have 100% confidence in yourself, no matter what, and just shoot for the stars, because nothing is impossible - anything is possible. That advice really stuck with me and has guided my journey.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would offer young women entering my industry the same advice that was given to me: nothing is impossible when you are truly committed to your goals. If you set your mind to something and are willing to put in the effort, you can absolutely achieve it. I encourage them to dream big, set ambitious goals, and not limit themselves—aim high and pursue what may seem out of reach, because it is often more possible than it first appears.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges I’ve faced have been marketing and advertising, as well as starting a business on my own without prior experience. Finding manufacturers and developing prototypes has also been a complex and demanding process.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are kindness, authenticity, and honesty. These principles guide how I interact with others and the decisions I make every day.
