Her Story

About Katherine

Katherine Adams is the Owner & CEO of Bottle360, a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) software company purpose-built for wineries and wine merchants. She brings more than 25 years of experience in retail, hospitality, ecommerce, and payment technology, including 15 years focused on leading innovation in retail and customer transaction systems. Throughout her career, she has specialized in building solutions that improve sales performance, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

Under her leadership, Bottle360 delivers a true all-in-one platform that unifies wine clubs, subscriptions, loyalty programs, POS, ecommerce, and customer relationship management into a single system designed specifically for wineries. The platform is built with winery-friendly pricing, flexible integrations, and industry-focused tools that expand sales opportunities while simplifying day-to-day operations. Bottle360 also offers some of the industry’s most competitive credit card processing rates, helping wineries retain significantly more profit while scaling their business.

Katherine founded and launched Bottle360 after identifying a gap in the market for modern, winery-focused DTC technology, officially introducing the platform in 2021. Since then, the company has maintained a strong reputation for customer satisfaction, supported by responsive service and 24/7 access to real human support. She continues to guide the company’s mission of helping wineries sell more wine, strengthen customer relationships, and grow sustainably through technology that is both practical and performance-driven.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Katherine

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, grit, and consistently leading by example as a sales manager. I’ve always believed that results come from staying disciplined, putting in the effort even when it’s challenging, and showing my team the standard through my own actions. That combination of persistence and accountability has been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved professionally.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to work hard, stay true to my ethics, and always do the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest path. Integrity builds trust, and consistency in doing what’s right ultimately defines both your reputation and long-term success.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to work hard, stay grounded in strong ethics, and always prioritize doing the right thing, even when it is not the easiest path. Integrity and consistency build long-term credibility and trust, which are essential in any leadership journey. I also encourage pursuing continued education, such as an MBA, to strengthen business acumen, expand strategic thinking, and open doors to broader leadership opportunities.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in my field today are the rapid pace of technological change and the continued lack of female representation and support in the software and technology space, but these challenges also create meaningful opportunities to lead, innovate, and bring more diverse perspectives into the industry. My inspiration came from identifying gaps in technology for small businesses like wineries and building solutions designed specifically to meet their needs. At the same time, there is increasing pressure in the industry due to corporate consolidation, which can make it difficult to maintain strong product quality and personalized customer service. This is why I remain focused on delivering technology that is customer-first, high-quality, and service-driven, while ensuring that innovation continues to support not replace the unique needs of the businesses we serve.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are respect, trust, integrity, and treating people fairly. I believe in creating a workplace culture where employees are respected as individuals and trusted to manage their responsibilities without unnecessary oversight, including not strictly tracking vacation or sick leave. I’ve learned through experience and mentorship including guidance from Blake Martinson of JUPICO, Chuck Smith, former CEO of PayPros, and Marty Hawk, former VP at PayPros that strong leadership is grounded in ethics, accountability, and putting people first while still maintaining high performance and responsibility.
