Her Story

About Katherine

Katherine Da Eira serves as Marketing and Growth Manager at Luso-American Financial, a role she assumed following her promotion in June after nearly two years with the organization. Her responsibilities include overseeing the company’s marketing strategy and initiatives, including social media, publicity, partnerships, community events, and outreach, while also driving growth through the development of new independent agent distribution channels designed to expand the organization’s reach into new markets.

With more than a decade of experience in real estate and mortgage lending, including founding and operating her own brokerage firm, Da Eira transitioned into financial services, where her work now focuses on life insurance, retirement solutions, and college savings.

She attributes her success to her ambitious nature, willingness to take risks, and commitment to continuously challenging herself. That commitment has included returning to school to earn a Digital Marketing Certificate from UCLA Extension and continuing her education through a Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management and Digital Strategy at Harvard Extension School.

Da Eira places a high value on integrity in her work, emphasizing transparency and a customer-centric approach, particularly when helping people navigate important financial decisions.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Katherine

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being ambitious, continually challenging myself, and not being afraid to take risks. Changing careers was a risk, but I believed in myself and was willing to push through the uncertainty to build something new. I truly believe it’s never too late to reinvent yourself or start over. If you’re passionate about what you want to do, believe in yourself, and are willing to put in the work, you can make it happen. The most important thing is to keep moving forward and never give up.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

For young women entering marketing, I would encourage them to develop both their creativity and their ability to understand people. Great marketing starts with understanding what connects with an audience and then finding creative ways to bring those ideas to life. Be willing to think outside the box, experiment with new ideas, and embrace change because the industry is constantly evolving. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to bring your own perspective and ideas to the table. That’s often what helps you stand out.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is one of the most important values to me, both personally and professionally. I believe in being honest, transparent, and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. In my work, I’ve always been very customer-centric. Whether someone is purchasing a home, taking out a loan, or choosing a financial product such as life insurance, these are important decisions that can have a lasting impact on their lives. I believe people deserve to understand exactly what they’re getting into and to feel confident that the person guiding them has their best interests in mind. For me, building trust and doing right by people will always come first.
