Her Story

About Katherine

Katherine Demirchyan is currently in her third year of law school while working in the legal field. She has served as a case manager, legal assistant, and unlicensed paralegal for seven years. Her experience includes personal injury matters such as car accidents, dog bites, and slip and falls, as well as lemon law, workers' compensation, and medical malpractice. Katherine's main focus remains personal injury law. She comes from a highly educated family, with both parents working as educators. Katherine attributes her success and work ethic to her mother, who has provided ongoing encouragement and reassurance that she can achieve her goals. She advises young women entering the field to avoid imposter syndrome, seek help without embarrassment, build connections while focusing on personal growth, listen to family, work hard, and speak up confidently in a male-prevalent industry.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Katherine

01What do you attribute your success to?

My mom. She told me from day one to focus on school and not worry, and she gives me constant reassurance that I can do it. She has led me to believing that I can do it.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't feel imposter syndrome, you got there for a reason. Don't be embarrassed to ask for help. Make connections but remember it's you doing this for yourself. Listen to your family. Work hard but remember nothing is that big of a deal. Don't be quiet or shy, especially in a male-prevalent field.
