Katherine Green
Katherine Green is a dedicated autism coach, educator, and creative thinker with more than 20 years of experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families. Based in Newport Beach, California, Katherine’s work is deeply rooted in both professional expertise and personal experience as the mother of a son on the autism spectrum. Her journey into the field began in 2005 after taking several years away from the workforce to care for her son’s medical, therapeutic, and developmental needs. Motivated by that experience, she began working as a speech-language pathologist assistant at a charter school in Colorado, where she supported children within a special education program before later serving as a one-on-one instructional assistant for autistic students in California school districts.
Throughout her career, Katherine has specialized in auditory processing, reading comprehension, differentiated instruction, and individualized learning support. She has spent nearly two decades tutoring children and helping them develop strategies for organizing and retaining information in ways that support long-term comprehension and confidence. Currently pursuing her credential in autism coaching, Katherine combines hands-on professional experience with compassionate insight gained through raising her son, who went on to earn his master’s degree from Pepperdine University and now lives independently. Her commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals has earned recognition from the Newport-Mesa Unified School District for making a meaningful difference in the life of an autistic child.
In addition to her work in autism advocacy and education, Katherine is also an entrepreneur, creative marketing educator, jewelry designer, and community volunteer. A graduate of Sonoma State University with studies in transpersonal and counseling psychology, she has founded multiple creative and educational ventures focused on communication, leadership, and personal growth. Katherine has also volunteered for many years with The Mathews House, supporting young adults and families navigating difficult life transitions. Guided by empathy, innovation, and a passion for helping others succeed, Katherine continues to advocate for neurodivergent individuals while empowering families with practical tools, encouragement, and hope.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I've always tried to be that person that people have trouble finding, someone who will do those things that require you to go outside the box a little bit. When you're working full-time and taking a paycheck, you can't give as much, but now I feel like I can give more through volunteering and pro bono work. There's a reason why I do what I do - it's not just for the income potential. I have a 20-plus year journey traveling with autism, and that personal experience drives everything I do. It's been a rough road that affected my marriage and my relationship with my daughter because she had to be put on the back burner, but helping children and families navigate autism has been deeply satisfying and gratifying work.
