Her Story

About Katherine

Katherine Mollman, MBA, is a learning and technology leader with more than 13 years of experience at Altria, where she currently serves as Manager and Product Owner of the company's internal CRM platform. In this role, she bridges the gap between business and technology by translating field sales needs into technical solutions, collaborating with development teams, and driving platform enhancements that improve user adoption and business performance. Her expertise lies in CRM platform management, learning and development, digital and technology upskilling, generative AI training, and organizational change management.

Throughout her career, Katherine has successfully transitioned from sales leadership into enterprise learning and development before moving into product ownership. She played a pivotal role in developing Altria's enterprise-wide generative AI training program and contributed to the rollout of one of the first internal AI chatbot initiatives within a Fortune 200 company. Guided by a philosophy that sustainable transformation depends on behavior change rather than knowledge transfer alone, she leverages Prosci ADKAR change management principles to help employees embrace new technologies and build lasting digital capabilities.

Katherine earned her Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School with a concentration in Global Leadership and Managing Organizational Change after completing her bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Wyoming in just three years. She also holds Salesforce, ATD Learning and Development, and Prosci Change Management certifications. An active participant in multiple employee resource groups, Katherine has been recognized with awards for innovation, diversity and inclusion, and leadership, and has shared her expertise as a speaker on artificial intelligence at the NextUp Summit.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Katherine

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to never stopping learning and surrounding myself with diverse perspectives and people who challenge my thinking rather than yes-men. I love asking questions and identifying gaps through different viewpoints.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I received was to treat my work family like my real family, approaching interactions with the same grace, kindness, and understanding, which has shaped how I interact with people and navigate difficult conversations.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't wait for someone to hand you opportunities. Advocate for yourself, find connections outside your direct manager to open doors, and don't be afraid to apply and ask directly for what you want.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is navigating political tensions in corporate environments and being adaptable to rapidly evolving technology like AI where new tools emerge constantly. Opportunities lie in being quick to learn complex new technologies and creating value in roles that may not exist yet.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty and integrity are huge. Curiosity, willingness to learn, being present and aware are most important. You're never done learning, evolving, or adapting.
