About Katherine
Katherine Richard has dedicated her professional career to serving seniors in healthcare settings since starting her role at Oceans Behavioral Hospital on July 3, 2013. With more than 12 years of experience, she has worked across behavioral health, memory care, independent living, and enhanced care environments, focusing on geriatrics and dementia support. Richard is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, holds certification in Assisted Living (CALM), and is certified as an Activity Director. Her educational background includes studies at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, and McNeese State University in applied behavior analysis. She previously managed at Walmart, where she received the Customer Excellence Award multiple times, and has volunteered with homeless individuals and served on boards including the LSU AgCenter housing board and one supporting children with incarcerated parents. Currently based in Dallas, Texas, Richard continues to pursue opportunities in senior care.
