What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that you can build a successful career anywhere in the world, on any continent you choose, as long as you stay the course and remain persistent. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but with focus, resilience, and a commitment to your goals, you can navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and create a meaningful, fulfilling professional journey regardless of where you are.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the health and wellness industry is that you can build a successful career while taking care of yourself. By prioritizing your own health and well-being as you guide and inspire others, you can create a balanced, fulfilling life and make a meaningful impact in your work. Teaching wellness is most effective when you embody it yourself, and doing so allows both your career and your life to thrive.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and at the same time the greatest opportunities—in my field right now is expanding as a new business owner into a dynamic market like India. Entering a new country requires adaptability, strategic planning, and cultural awareness, but it also opens the door to significant growth, new partnerships, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on a larger scale. Navigating these challenges has been both rewarding and invaluable for my professional development.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
What's most important to me is being able to take care of myself so that I can show others how important it is to exercise and meditate. I make my workout and meditation part of my daily routine because if you're recommending health and wellness products, you have to look like the product works. But my real job starts at 2pm - that's when I have a hard stop on my business because I pick up 3 little boys from school every day. They're my grandsons, and they think they live with me. I'm very involved with soccer practice and general extracurricular activities with the boys. I chose to give up my golf and a lot of other stuff because it's a finite time - they're only going to be little for so long, and then after that, they won't want anything to do with me, right? So I'm happy to put things to one side for now. I can always go back to them later. I love the fact that I can take my entire family on a cruise every year, and the memories that we're creating for decades of family holidays probably wouldn't be possible if I didn't have my business. I'm also very focused on my inner circle and local community - I support Hopeful Hearts Ministry and The Village Center. I don't think it's valuable to spend my time driving all over the place for foundations maybe 2 hours away. I'm very focused on making connections with people who are actively involved in local foundations, because I find that more fulfilling and I can give more of my time, my energy, and my donations.
