Her Story
About Katherine
I launched my women's community in January 2025 after being inspired by another women's community I joined in November 2024. I volunteered for their events and learned the ins and outs of hosting events, securing vendors, and creating networking opportunities. What drove me to start my own community was that when I attended events in the Sarasota area, I was normally the youngest one there. I'm in my 20s, and I wanted to be surrounded with girls around my age who think like me, who are like-minded, ambitious, and want to pursue something for themselves. I wanted to give other girls my age the same opportunities that I'm given. My community focuses on women in their 20s who are either just starting out in their careers, learning, or figuring out what they want to do. I introduce them to people in different industries through events and guest speakers so they can network and gain knowledge and insights. Some of the girls even have their own small businesses. My most notable achievement so far was hosting an event on my mentor's yacht with the theme Chartering Your Own Path, featuring guest speakers Penny Hill from the Penny Hill Group and Jack Glacier. One of the girls handed out her business cards and was hired on the spot by a guest speaker for her gardening business. Seeing the girls take full advantage of the community I'm building and use the resources to thrive in their business or personal development is what drives me.

Ten minutes with Katherine
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would definitely say my mentors. They've all just wanted the best for me and want me to succeed, and they help push me to think differently. Also, my friends and the people that support me as well. They're all a big motivator for me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best piece of advice I received is to be intentional about the path I'm creating instead of just following what's expected. That really stuck with me because it shifted my mindset from going with the flow to actually designing the life and career that I want.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
As of right now, because it is, for now, just me, and I do have occasional higher help every once in a while, definitely spreading myself thin is a challenge. I am trying to look outward for help, and that's definitely hard to find someone who sees the vision and who I can trust to get the work done. Just like hiring the right people with the right skills and that can execute.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I would definitely say growth, because I care about becoming better mentally, physically, and financially. I value self-improvement and evolving into my highest potential. I also value intentional living. I believe in making intentional decisions that align with the life I want to create. Discipline is very important to me. I think that discipline is the foundation of success and long-term results. Authenticity matters to me as well. I value being genuine and creating spaces where people can be their true selves. I believe in the power of connection and community and surrounding myself with like-minded, growth-oriented people. Ambition is important, striving for excellence in everything I pursue. And lastly, impact, because I want to create a positive impact and inspire other women to grow and succeed.
