Kathey Batey

Kathey Batey has been in her field for 21 years. With a background and education in counseling, she began working with support groups 21 years ago after her own divorce 28 years ago and became a divorce coach and court-appointed mediator. She works with the Dispute Resolution Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, receiving cases from the court roster and through word of mouth after completing required training, observation, and case volume. Kathey values integrity and kindness in her client-focused practice, guiding people through the emotional challenges of divorce as a business transaction while providing insight and hope for the future. She has been mentored by attorneys including Peter Letzman. She also dedicates time to single moms by spending two weeks each year at Higher Ground at Lake Louise camp in northern Michigan, where she has written the curriculum for the sixth year.
