Growing up in Northern California and spending many a weekends and school holidays traveling in our motor home to Bodega Bay, Half Moon Bay or Morro Bay, my parents made sure their daughters were exposed to the outdoors, hence my stance as an AVID OUTDOORS WOMAN. Did ya hear that? I am one who love the outdoors. I enjoy nature walks, Im a bird-nerd, bird that is, I love to swim, snorkel, paddle board, kayak, and I'm a beach writer(more on that later). When I met my husband who is a surfer, of course learning to surf was at the top of my "to do" list. Though I'm not the greatest female surfer, I can shred a long board pretty well. After years of hard work, raising 2 sons and managing our rental property, I finally retired. My hope someday soon after completing my autobiography which is near completion, is to volunteer time as my husband does, to help inner city youth and adults to learn the joy of swimming and even surfing thus taking advantage of one of our planets greatest resources. The peace, calm & fulfillment of simply wading barefooted & unplugged is a solo endeavor which can lower stress levels as well as be a key to maintaining wellness...
