Her Story
About Kathleen
My career journey began with a near-death experience in 1990 that completely changed my trajectory. I went back to school, earned my master's degree and eventually a PhD, and spent 9 years working with children doing art therapy while completing my education. I taught art at Columbia College in California until 2015, when I discovered a Knights Templar cave in Brazil during one of my archaeological trips to ancient sites. Nine days after returning from that discovery, my home burned to the ground with all my curriculum and supplies. Eight weeks later, I had a liver transplant, which gave me a year to recover and decide my path forward. I chose to pursue documentary filmmaking and writing full-time. My first book, 'A Grail Quest, A Discovery of a Mysterious Knights Templar Cave in Brazil,' tells the story of my first film 'The Brazilian Templar's Mystery,' which aired on Gaia for three years and is now on Amazon Prime. I'm currently writing my second book, 'The Templar Agenda,' about the last 10-11 years of my research into the inner workings of the Knights Templar and how their work eventually led to the creation of the United States of America. I have two more documentary episodes to complete by the end of 2027, and then I plan to move into research on the ancient culture of Lemuria. I've been actively working in this field since 2015, though my research began in 1990.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would share what I call Grail Quest, which I have a series about on my TikTok page. A Grail quest is simply stepping out from your normal, everyday life and doing something that you've always wanted to do. Whether it's going skiing, going to France, starting to write a book, or whatever you want to do, start doing little steps, day by day. Start a journal and put effort into creating your Grail quests. There's magic in allowing it to unfold if we allow it to.
