About Kathleen
Kathleen Curtin is a seasoned healthcare and higher education professional based in Buffalo, New York. After graduating from nursing school around 1970, she began her career at a neighborhood health center, where she worked as a nurse and pursued certification as a nurse practitioner. She advanced into quality management in healthcare, securing executive positions and remaining with one organization through three mergers before contributing to startups focused on digitizing clinical information and implementing electronic medical records. Curtin then spent 13 years in higher education, teaching undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students in health administration at a university in Buffalo. She earned a BSN, nurse practitioner certification, a master's in architecture, an MBA, and a doctorate in higher education in 2018. Her professional affiliations include 13 years with the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, where her first publication received an annual award. Curtin also supports community initiatives through Feed More, an organization providing free food to those in need.
