What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my determination to carve my own path and take ownership of my career. I am resourceful and resilient, often finding solutions when circumstances leave no alternative. Early on, I had no plan B, which pushed me to embrace challenges fully and turn them into opportunities for growth.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to secure your place as a leader. It reminded me to take ownership of my growth, demonstrate initiative, and consistently position myself to influence and guide others. Leadership isn’t just a title—it’s about earning respect, creating impact, and stepping up when it matters most.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to always be fully present and engaged in every opportunity. Additionally, if you’re starting your own business, plan carefully for financial stability—establish a line of credit and anticipate that your startup costs may be higher than expected. Preparation and presence are key to long-term success.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in my field was navigating the aftermath of the 2008 market crash, which required me to completely reinvent myself and adapt to new realities. Along the way, I’ve also faced imposter syndrome, but I’ve learned that resilience comes from experience—having overcome significant obstacles before gives me confidence that I can conquer whatever comes next. These challenges have also been opportunities to grow, innovate, and strengthen my leadership.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, authenticity, and strong character. I strive to be sincere in all my interactions and to act with integrity, believing that building trust and staying true to oneself are the foundations of meaningful relationships and lasting success.
