Kathleen Tchalaby

I've been working in education for 30 years, having transitioned from finance where I had an MBA and worked for a financial company in Frankfurt, Germany. I moved into English language education and worked on special projects with the UN on their Millennial goals, focusing on women, children, and education. After moving to South Florida, I now manage Oxford House College on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. As manager of this ESL school, I handle everything from visas and helping students through the F1 visa process by issuing their I-20s, to working with teachers on curriculum and keeping up with student testing and progress. I also coordinate homestay placements, run team groups from Kazakhstan with 40-plus students in the summer, and organize children's camps twice a year for 6 weeks each. Our mission is to provide quality, innovative English education which enables individuals to develop and fulfill their potential. What's really great is the journey - I've helped students like one from France who came with not a word of English, stayed for 8 months, and achieved her dream of becoming a stewardess for Emirates. I'm also supporting our location in becoming home to Holmes University of Florida, which will be Holmes Education's first U.S. university.
