Kathryn Che. Collins

I am a nonprofit and workforce development leader with a career dedicated to building stronger communities through education, employment, and service. I currently serve as a Director at Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona (habitatcaz), a role I have held since April 2022, where I contribute to the organization's mission of building affordable housing and strengthening communities across the state. In this position, I bring my expertise in teamwork, process improvement, and organizational leadership to support Habitat's work and expand its impact.

Prior to joining Habitat for Humanity, I served as Center Director at DISTINCTION, LLC for just over a year, where I led operations and program delivery in a workforce development setting. I also worked as a self-employed Business Consultant for three years, providing strategic guidance to organizations and helping them improve their operations and achieve their goals.

Before my consulting work, I spent over two years as Center Director at Mississippi Job Corps Center in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, where I led one of the nation's premier workforce development programs for young people, overseeing all aspects of center operations, including education, vocational training, career services, and residential life. I also served as Center Director at Sacramento Job Corps Center for nearly a year, where I held similar leadership responsibilities and helped young people gain the skills and credentials they need to succeed in the workforce.

Across my career in nonprofit leadership, workforce development, and community service, my work has been driven by a belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to build a better life. Whether I am leading a Job Corps center, serving at Habitat for Humanity, or consulting with organizations on their strategic direction, I am committed to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through education, housing, and meaningful work.
