About Kathryn
Kathryn Samuels owns a wellness business in Porter, Texas, where she works as a wellness coach and personal trainer. She has 21 years of experience in the wellness field and has owned her business for 17 years. Prior to entering wellness, she worked in banking but decided to pursue her passion for helping people with health and fitness after becoming pregnant with her youngest son. Samuels holds multiple certifications including personal training, nutrition, life coaching, pre- and postnatal exercise, cancer and exercise, and credentials from the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists. She has expanded her practice to include sound therapy and healing herbs. In 2016, she authored the Amazon bestseller Think and Grow Healthy and was named top personal trainer for Texas. She is a member of the American Business Women Association and volunteers at assisted living facilities to help elderly residents get stronger, while also supporting donations to the HAM clothing drive and Society of St. Stephen's Food Pantry. Samuels attributes her success to her passion and the compassionate, empathetic approach she takes with clients.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My passion and the compassionate way that I am with people. The love and the empathy, because in this business you have to have the empathy in order to really care and love people in order to make it work.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
If whatever you do, look for what you're passionate about. If you're passionate about it, you're going to succeed. Just take that first step and everything else falls into place. When your faith is there and your passion is there, it's gonna work out.
