Kathryn Wilson

Kathryn Wilson brings nearly two decades of expertise to anti-fraud measures, internal controls, and auditing within the government and public sector. Her career began with an audit background after choosing the field in college for its emphasis on problem-solving and challenges. As a Certified Fraud Examiner and holder of an Institute of Internal Controls certification, Kathryn is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners at both the global and DC local chapter levels, the Institute of Internal Controls, and the National Association of Construction Auditors. She has contributed to publications and spoken at conferences and webinars since 2022, often highlighting how AI can be a helpful tool rather than a threat. Kathryn values the guidance of women mentors who boosted her confidence early on, and she now focuses on transparent leadership, empowering her teams, and encouraging networking. She also supports causes including the Arthritis Association, St. Jude's, and Susan B. Komen.
