Kathy Bernal

She is a distinguished music educator and band director with over three decades of experience in music education, performance leadership, and event coordination. Currently serving as Music Director of the East Fort Worth Community Jazz Band, she leads community musicians in jazz performances and music education. Prior to this role, she served as Band Director at Holy Family Catholic School and as Special Events Coordinator for Fort Worth ISD. Her career includes 29 years as Band Director at Eastern Hills High School in FWISD, where she shaped the musical lives of countless students. She is recognized as a passionate, dedicated, and inspiring educator and leader who has made a lasting impact on music education and community arts in Fort Worth.
