About Kathy

Materials science researcher and PhD candidate specializing in dynamic, stimuli-responsive, bio-interfacing soft materials. Currently a full-time researcher in Harvard SEAS’s Aizenberg Biomineralization and Biomimetics Lab, with prior Fulbright-funded research at the University of Groningen in molecular motors and artificial muscles with Prof. Ben Feringa. Industry experience includes an engineering internship at Apple focused on materials product design for iPhone and Apple Watch. Earlier research roles at Stanford (Bao Lab) and the University of Utah covered skin-inspired electronic/tissue-interfacing materials and all-solid-state battery material synthesis and discovery.
