About Kathy
Kathy McFarland is a designated broker and real estate professional with extensive experience across multiple states. She obtained her Arkansas broker's license in 1984 and later her New York license in 2008, working for over 13 years as an associate broker in Manhattan with the Corcoran Group, where she represented buyers and sellers in high-value residential transactions including apartments, co-ops, and condos. She also became a certified appraiser and secured licenses in Florida, West Virginia, Ohio, Kansas, and Nebraska during her five years as a part-time designated broker for Arkansas with Zillow. In addition to her real estate career, McFarland earned a health education degree in 1978 from the University of Arkansas after two years of study there and one year of nurse practitioner studies at the Med Center in Little Rock. She taught middle school science in Louisiana for two and a half years after passing the Louisiana State Teachers Exam in biology, managed her ex-husband's medical practice for 20 years, and owned and operated four retail stores in Hot Springs for nine years until 2006. After moving back to Arkansas in 2020, she worked full-time as an environmental health specialist at the Arkansas Department of Health overseeing lead testing in schools and daycares while maintaining her real estate roles. McFarland now seeks opportunities in real estate coaching to guide new agents toward success, drawing on her diverse professional background.
