Ten minutes with Katie

01What do you attribute your success to?

My father, because he has always been such a great support system, and encouraged me to follow my dreams, as well as taught me the value of hard work and how it pays off.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say trust in yourself and in the process, because it can definitely be difficult, especially in male-dominated fields. But as a woman, I feel like it gave me an opportunity to stand out as well as try something that challenged me, which I loved, and it was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I love the quote that says life begins at the end of your comfort zone, because through challenges you find how capable you are and gain a different perspective. I would encourage young women to try their best, and put yourself out there, because it's definitely worth it.
