Her Interview
Ten minutes with Katie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, the guidance of a sponsor who believed in my potential, and a career built on genuine relationships. Investing in people I trust—and who trust me in return—has opened doors, created opportunities, and given me the support to grow into leadership.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My mentor, Eric Bourget, taught me that true influence isn't about having the loudest voice in the room; it's about building trust and creating clarity, especially through periods of change. That lesson reshaped how I lead: helping people see what they're capable of matters far more than commanding attention.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Lead through influence, not volume. Focus on building trust and creating clarity, particularly during times of change, rather than trying to be the loudest voice in the room. When you lead this way, the people around you feel supported, accountable, and confident enough to take ownership of their own success.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I'm navigating is the rollout of AI across multiple office locations, including the Philippines, California, Raleigh, Ohio, and Colorado. Helping team members understand, embrace, and grow genuinely enthusiastic about AI-driven change—without fear—takes intentional effort. We've made real progress by building strong partnerships and grounding AI in relatable, everyday use cases, like using it to draft professional emails, which has helped teams see it as a practical tool rather than a threat.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Trust is the value I hold above all others. I want the people in my life, both at work and beyond, to know that I have their best interests at heart, and to feel confident that they can rely on me completely.
