Her Interview
Ten minutes with Katie
01What do you attribute your success to?
Dr. Moore has been the most influential mentor to me. He seamlessly blends clinical acumen with genuine compassion and emboldens our team through continuous learning. He is young, sharp, energetic and empathic which shows in the feedback we receive from our patients. He is a doctor that will listen, spend time with you and pick up the phone for a personal call no matter how overextended he is. As the Medical Director and perpetual student, he is always looking out for our team by sending us books, articles and studies to expand our knowledge. We're always in this mode of education and learning. Dr. Moore doesn't just teach the science of medicine; he models the humanity of it proving that empathy is just as vital as a correct diagnosis. At Clearwater Health, we reject assembly line medicine to deliver the deeply attentive care our patients deserve which is abundantly clear in their feedback. Working for Dr. Moore has been extremely rewarding.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say that it really is a no-brainer. We need more of it, honestly, and I there is a huge space for it as we unravel a massive public health crisis driven primarily by a surge in Type 2 Diabetes. The shift toward employing health coaches directly within doctors offices is an accelerating, measurable trend in modern healthcare. This change is driven by the reality that while doctors diagnose and prescribe, they rarely have the time required to manage day to day patient behavior. With so many voices in the coaching industry, I chose to train with the most respected organization in the field to give my clients the level of support they deserve and would help anyone interested in this field weed out the accredited programs and certification bodies to ensure ultimate credentials.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The greatest challenges in metabolic medicine involve countering systemic dietary misinformation and overcoming widespread skepticism regarding the physiological possibility of complete disease reversal.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My deepest values as a coach are empowerment and authenticity. I am dedicated to educating others to unlock their body's healing potential, and I honor that work by living those same values alongside my friends, family and children every day. I believe true health isn't just taught; it's lived. My mission is to give you the tools to become your own healer, while maintaining a personal commitment to model these vibrant habits within my own home.
