About Katrina

Katrina Boyd is a dedicated healthcare professional with approximately 18 years of experience in the medical industry, specializing in home health and in-home patient care. As a Head Caregiver, she leads care operations, coordinates personalized care plans, supervises caregivers, and works closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure compassionate, safe, and compliant care. Her background also includes administrative support within the legal field, giving her a strong foundation in client management, compliance, and organizational operations.

Katrina holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Health and Medical Administrative Services from GateWay Community College and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, along with additional education and professional certifications in healthcare and regulatory compliance. Her professional interests extend beyond direct patient care to healthcare administration and policy, particularly addressing healthcare inequality and improving systems that affect vulnerable populations. She is also developing plans for a nonprofit hospice initiative focused on compassionate end-of-life care and caregiver education.

Driven by empathy, resilience, and a strong commitment to helping others, Katrina is passionate about geriatrics, hospice care, and supporting individuals who may otherwise face difficult circumstances alone. Her personal experiences and family influences have shaped her dedication to serving others and inspiring people to recognize their own potential. Outside of her career, she enjoys spending time with family, caring for her pets, cooking and baking, traveling, listening to self-help audiobooks, and journaling.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Katrina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the people around me like my family who have supported me and raised me to strive for more, including my grandfather who instilled the drive to be successful and help others realize their potential. Being adopted and having remarkable individuals around me has pushed me to become the best version of myself and transform my life.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to let my experiences inspire me to help others. After experiencing the loss of my mother and sister at a young age, I was inspired to pursue a career in caregiving and nursing. Their loss taught me the importance of compassion, and I strive to ensure that others feel valued, supported, and never alone.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

My goal is to establish a hospice nonprofit and caregiver initiative to support patients in their final days and provide education and employment opportunities. I am seeking a property and committed to compassionate end-of-life care so no one feels alone.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are family, compassion, authenticity, and service. I deeply value my adoptive parents and their unwavering support, and I have a strong passion for caring for older adults and children. Professionally, I stay true to my mission of helping others and advocating for more equitable healthcare.
