Katrina Flowers, MSOP, is a strategic HR and operations leader and Digital Workflow Architect known for transforming complex, fragmented HR environments into scalable, human-centered systems. Currently serving as a Supervisory HR Specialist at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Katrina brings nearly a decade of federal leadership experience across HR shared services, workforce strategy, and digital enablement. Her work focuses on intelligent design—anticipating complexity, optimizing processes, and building workflows that quietly absorb operational stress while delivering measurable outcomes.

With a system-agnostic approach to HR transformation, Katrina specializes in aligning technology, process architecture, and business strategy to improve service delivery and employee experience. She has led enterprise-wide implementations of ServiceNow HRSD and SAP, streamlined HR case and knowledge management, and advised executive leaders on automation opportunities, compliance alignment, and workforce optimization. Her expertise spans workforce analytics, change enablement, organizational effectiveness, and continuous process improvement, allowing her to bridge the gap between strategy and execution.

Katrina’s career foundation includes roles at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and service as a U.S. Army Sergeant, experiences that shaped her disciplined, outcomes-driven leadership style. She holds a Master of Science in Organizational Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, and she is certified in agile practices and AI-driven HR through SHRM’s AI+HI Specialty Credential. I would advise young women entering the industry to let their voices be heard and never question their value.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is being taken seriously—especially when age does not accurately reflect experience, capability, or success. Overcoming assumptions and demonstrating credibility through results remains both a challenge and an opportunity to redefine expectations.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, honesty, and being bold in my actions and decisions. Most importantly, my faith serves as my foundation, guiding my purpose, character, and the way I lead and serve others.
