Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kay

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success comes from my spirituality and traditions that keep me grounded and rooted every day. God allows me to wake up with new opportunities, and I live with gratitude. Life has twists and turns out of our control, but staying true to my aspirations and pushing through struggles fuels my drive.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If you set your mind to it, you can achieve anything. It's challenging and a risk, but there is no reward without risk. Put in the heart work, effort, and knowledge. Don't be intimidated, gather information, and use every bit of knowledge you have. Just do it.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My religion keeps me humbled with peace of mind and a positive attitude. Being goal-oriented, following dreams, and staying true to myself and aspirations are key. Coming from humble beginnings and knowing struggle fuels me to push forward, with light at the end of the tunnel.
