An East Carolina University alumna with a B.S. in Communication focused on Public Relations, graduating Magna Cum Laude, Kayla combines her academic foundation with hands-on experience to craft branding, digital marketing strategies, and websites that authentically reflect her clients’ missions and communities. She is passionate about simplifying marketing, reducing overwhelm, and creating systems that are both accessible and effective for business owners.
Before launching KRA Marketing Solutions, Kayla honed her marketing and leadership skills in a variety of roles, including Marketing Consultant at Sinclair Broadcast Group and Marketing Director & Event Coordinator at Carolina Dental Specialty Center. She has a track record of building strong client relationships, designing creative campaigns, and managing projects that drive measurable results. Her career also includes experience in leasing management and customer service, providing her with a holistic understanding of client engagement and operational efficiency.

I attribute my success to my passion for marketing and my love for building relationships. Graduating Magna Cum Laude and standing out academically gave me the confidence to step out of the corporate world, pursue my own business, and trust God to guide me along the way.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is step outside your comfort zone, make some noise in your field, and let the world see what you can do!

My advice to young women entering this industry is that you can achieve success, whether you choose the corporate path or entrepreneurship.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity and challenge in my field right now is launching my own business—I officially started last month and am excited to build new client relationships while navigating the entrepreneurial journey.
