Her Story

About Kayla

Kayla Bauer serves as an addiction counselor, professional counselor, and admissions counselor with almost 11 years in the mental health field. Her path into the profession stems from her own experience with addiction beginning around 2009, which led her to help others achieve their best lives through individual sessions, groups, conferences, and admissions work including biopsychosocial assessments for insurance coverage. She holds a Master's in clinical behavioral health and maintains licensure as both an addiction counselor and professional counselor while pursuing further certifications in psilocybin-assisted therapy and nutrition. Kayla contributes to the Center for Spiritual Beings church in Parker, Colorado, and the Grow Your Own Thoughts nonprofit focused on psilocybin microdosing alongside therapy and groups. She finds pride in guiding patients to personal aha moments of self-discovery and offers the advice to young women entering the field to not let the world take their light. Kayla also enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and paddle boarding along with writing her autobiography.
