About Kayla-Nohelani
Kayla-Nohelani Madumere is a marketing and branding strategist, program manager, and creative leader focused on building scalable systems for mission-driven organizations, entrepreneurs, and founder-led businesses. She serves as Program Manager for the Young Entrepreneurs Program at REAP, Inc., where she helped build the youth entrepreneurship initiative from the ground up. Her responsibilities span program development, branding, curriculum, operations, digital presence, content strategy, partnerships, communications, and workflow management. Through the program, she supports students in grades 7 through 12 as they develop businesses, gain entrepreneurial skills, and receive opportunities for mentorship, funding, and real-world exposure.
In addition to her nonprofit program leadership, Madumere is the CEO of KYND Kreative, a marketing and branding business through which she supports small businesses and startups with brand development and strategic marketing. Her professional experience also includes serving as Executive Creative Director of Madu Vibe Media, where she has led brand and content strategy, campaign planning, creative production, and project execution for artists, events, and small brands. Her background further includes executive administrative support for senior directors at Nike through Insight Global and information technology experience with HCL Technologies, giving her a multidisciplinary foundation across marketing, creative services, technology, administration, and operations.
Madumere's approach centers on translating ideas into structured, sustainable systems. She combines brand positioning, content architecture, creative direction, program management, community engagement, and operational planning to help organizations and entrepreneurs move from vision to execution. Her work with YEP particularly reflects her commitment to developing the next generation of entrepreneurs by connecting education, mentorship, creativity, and practical business experience. She is motivated by the desire to build a lasting legacy and create meaningful community impact, while encouraging others—particularly young women—to pursue opportunities that genuinely align with who they are and what they value.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kayla-Nohelani
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my desire to build a lasting legacy and create positive impact in my community. Across my work in marketing, entrepreneurship, program management, and creative leadership, I am motivated by the opportunity to build something meaningful and create systems and opportunities that can continue to benefit others.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to listen closely to what their hearts are telling them and to be intentional about the opportunities they pursue. Something may look attractive or exciting on the surface, but that does not necessarily mean it is the right opportunity for you. Take the time to consider whether an opportunity genuinely aligns with your goals, values, and well-being before pursuing it. Follow your heart, but also make sure that what you choose truly suits you and serves you well.
