Micala Pinder is a highly accomplished accounting professional with over 20 years of experience in financial analysis, team leadership, and strategic reporting. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at National University, her dissertation explores accounting professionals’ perceptions of educational preparedness and workplace expectations in the era of Industry 4.0 and digital technology. Micala is passionate about bridging the gap between academic theory and industry practice, leveraging her expertise to improve curriculum design, online instruction, and learner-centered educational strategies.
Over the course of her career, Micala has held senior accounting and financial roles at organizations including KAT Global Logistics, BJ Services Company, LyondellBasell, and Bredero Shaw. She has managed global financial reporting, reconciliations, capital budgets, and audit preparations, demonstrating precision, analytical rigor, and operational oversight. In her current role at KAT Global Logistics, she also serves as a subject matter expert, facilitating virtual training, mentoring teams, and developing instructional materials that enhance workforce performance and engagement.
Beyond her professional achievements, Micala is committed to giving back through volunteer work, including supporting economic empowerment initiatives in Houston.
