Her Story

About Kayleigh

Kayleigh Coloso serves as a Bilingual Case Manager with New Bridge Madison, where she brings a comprehensive background in social work, case management, behavioral support, and community-based services. Since beginning her professional career in case management in 2019, Kayleigh has developed a strong understanding of the challenges individuals and families face when navigating healthcare, social services, housing, and public benefit systems. Her experience working directly with clients also deepened her awareness of the importance of accessible mental health and social support. She approaches her work with compassion, patience, cultural sensitivity, and a strong commitment to ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity and respect. In her role at NewBridge Madison, Kayleigh specializes in supporting adults and older adults, helping clients navigate complex systems and connect with resources that promote stability, independence, and overall well-being. As a bilingual professional, she uses her Spanish language skills to improve communication and accessibility for Spanish-speaking clients. Her responsibilities included assisting with benefits renewals, Medicare and Social Security applications, housing resources, and other essential services, including helping undocumented individuals navigate available resources. Though, her new job description allows her to provide assessments and short-term counseling while individuals are on waitlists for receiving therapy. She provides groups in the community involving creative writing, crocheting, and discussing grief work at depth. Her earlier experience as a Behavioral Support Specialist with ATTIC Correctional Services further strengthened her ability to work with diverse populations, understand individual needs, and provide thoughtful, client-centered support. Through her work, Kayleigh serves as both an advocate and a trusted resource for individuals facing significant personal and systemic challenges. Kayleigh earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is in the process of earning her Master of Social Work from National University, where she achieved a 3.8 GPA and was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She is committed to advancing her professional expertise and is working toward her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Kayleigh volunteers within the recovery community in Madison, reflecting her dedication to service and community empowerment. Looking ahead, she hopes to expand her impact through mentoring, teaching, and professional supervision, helping develop the next generation of social service professionals. She attributes her success to the patience, encouragement, and belief others have shown her throughout her own journey, and she carries that lesson forward by offering the same compassion, encouragement, and belief to the individuals she serves.

Ten minutes with Kayleigh

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the patience, encouragement, and unwavering support that others have shown me throughout my journey. The people around me taught me to believe in myself and consistently reinforced my confidence, reminding me of my strengths and potential even when I could not always see them myself. I have also learned the value of reciprocal healing, which has transformed the way I approach both my personal growth and my professional relationships. Embracing the idea that healing, learning, and growth can be mutually empowering has allowed me to become more intentional, compassionate, and authentic in the way I support others.
