Her Story

About Kaylyn

I've been working in retail for almost 2 years, focusing on employee benefits, though I previously worked in healthcare. My day-to-day work involves customer support, where I assist with benefits questions, leave of absence matters, and workers compensation issues. I earned my Master's in Business Administration in 2020 with a healthcare administration concentration, and that's actually what first gave me exposure to human resources. When I was obtaining my master's, one of the first courses I took was Human Resources Management, and it was just something I decided immediately that I wanted to pursue. My most notable professional achievement so far has been obtaining my Professional in Human Resources certification. Every day is different in my field, and you never know what type of situation you're going to encounter. A lot of times, what we're having to do is kind of set the precedence for something that's never been done before, at least in our organization.
