Keerti Bhogaraju
Keerti Bhogaraju is a Senior AI/ML Engineer at Provation, where she builds generative AI and machine learning solutions that support healthcare workflows, particularly within clinical documentation systems used by anesthesiologists. Her work focuses on designing scalable, production-ready AI systems that reduce administrative burden and improve usability in high-stakes medical environments. She is known for bridging applied machine learning with product thinking, helping drive enterprise-wide AI adoption across healthcare software platforms.
Earlier in her career, Keerti worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services, contributing to the Just Walk Out technology powered by computer vision to enable checkout-free retail experiences. She began her professional journey in India as an Associate Data Scientist at a startup, where she developed early expertise in natural language processing, computer vision, and production ML pipelines. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Data Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from India, experiences that shaped her strong foundation in both theoretical and applied AI systems.
Beyond her engineering work, Keerti is actively involved in interdisciplinary research and community engagement. She has contributed to academic work on social media influence in digital activism and is deeply interested in computational astronomy, where she engages with open-source research and astroinformatics. As Vice President of Publicity at the Seattle Astronomical Society, she helps connect broader communities to astronomy and science outreach, reflecting her commitment to blending technology, education, and public engagement.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to an early internship in analytics and AI that sparked my interest in the field. From there, I built my foundation through hands-on projects, continuous curiosity, and a commitment to learning by doing. I also take pride in consistently taking initiative to drive AI adoption within organizations, which has allowed me to create meaningful impact and grow professionally.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see the biggest challenges in my field today as the evolving public perception of AI and the ethical concerns that come with its use. These factors create a complex environment where trust, transparency, and responsible deployment are critical.
At the same time, I see a significant opportunity to design trustworthy, clinician-focused AI solutions that not only address these concerns but also meaningfully improve workflows and enhance patient care outcomes.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my work and personal life, I prioritize ethical impact, particularly ensuring that my work meaningfully supports clinicians and improves patient outcomes. I also value continuous learning, as it allows me to stay adaptable and grow alongside an evolving field. In addition, I place strong importance on leadership and community involvement, as I believe in contributing beyond my immediate role and helping others grow along the way.
