Her Interview
Ten minutes with Keira
01What do you attribute your success to?
God. I attribute all of our family and our farm's success to God. Because without him, I would not be where I'm at.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do not give up. Just because everything's looking bleak and everything looks like it's not working out the way it should doesn't mean you're not about to hit a breakthrough. Some of my biggest breakthroughs have came at my lowest point... just keep pushing, keep breaking that wall.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Fail. Fail. Fail. The only way to succeed is to fail, learn, adapt, get up and keep going.
Do not let others bring you down, especially if they are in a place that you do not wish yourself to be in.
Always strive for knowledge.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think it's just the economy, the way the world is going we have more and more farmers who are retiring and less and less younger generations taking over. My biggest concern is less farmers and farms to feed millions.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Passion, and Morals. Common sense helps.
