I've been working in the makeup industry for about 34 years, with approximately 25 of those years spent doing makeup for television and film. During that time, I worked with many celebrities and noticed that everyone was getting custom-blended makeup - nobody was just using one color lipstick or one color foundation. Everything was being customized for each person. I realized there was a real hole in the market because everyday people didn't have access to this level of customization. I kept hearing from friends and family that they always had a very hard time finding matching foundation, the perfect lipstick color, and skincare that was actually right for their skin and what their skin needs were. That's why I created Blende - to bring custom makeup and skincare to everyone. I've been running Blende for 9 years now in an incredibly competitive makeup industry, and I'm proud to say we have a thriving business that we're now taking and franchising nationwide. I run every aspect of the company, wearing all the hats - everything from marketing, sales, inventory, budgeting, and forecasting to running the studio where I do makeup applications and lessons and create custom makeup and skincare for clients.
