01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One piece of advice was to keep your eye on the prize. Another was to be transformative as opposed to transactional.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I advise them to take training and be careful. Working in this field is not something to take lightly because we have people that are entrusting us with their lives when we're trying to help them. It is important to be trauma-informed.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Getting my name out there because people are not familiar with you, they're reluctant to do services or step in services. As a recovering addict myself, transference can be a challenge.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

To be genuine, transparency, open-mindedness, integrity, and dignity.
