Her Story

About Keisha

I am a technologist by training and a problem solver by nature.

For more than 20 years, I worked as a federal contractor supporting the Department of Defense and CMS, building and testing systems, migrating data to the cloud, and ensuring large-scale technology solutions worked reliably in high-stakes environments. That experience taught me how systems really function behind the scenes and where they often fail the people who rely on them.

Today, I use that knowledge to help organizations adopt AI and digital tools in ways that are practical, ethical, and human-centered. I do not believe AI should replace people. I believe it should protect their time, energy, and creativity so they can focus on the work that truly matters.

My work centers on AI strategy, systems design, and training for non-technical audiences who want real results, not hype.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Keisha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my parents. They instilled in me the values of hard work, integrity, discipline, and financial responsibility from an early age. Those lessons shaped how I approach my career, leadership, and service to others.

I also credit Morgan State University for providing me with a full scholarship and a strong engineering education that allowed me to begin my career in technology with confidence and purpose.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Learn how systems work, not just how to do the task in front of you.

That advice taught me to think strategically, anticipate problems, and design solutions that last. It continues to guide how I approach technology, leadership, and long-term impact.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You do not need permission to belong in technical or leadership spaces. Build your skills, ask questions without apology, and remember that confidence grows through action. Your perspective is valuable, especially in industries that shape how technology is used.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges:

  • Fear and misunderstanding around AI
