About Keitha
Keitha Nelson is a seasoned broadcast journalist with more than two decades of experience in the field. She currently anchors the morning show Good Morning Jacksonville at First Coast News, the NBC-ABC affiliate in Jacksonville, Florida, where she has worked for 13 plus years. After graduating from Nichols State, she entered broadcast journalism following advice from a professor. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. In addition to her anchoring role, Keitha has recently begun building a communications consulting and public speaking business, helping others communicate effectively. She attributes her success to a focus on service and being part of something bigger than herself, which she demonstrates through her work on several boards in Jacksonville and extensive volunteer efforts.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Understanding that being a part of something bigger than yourself is what will help you to thrive. It's always getting outside of myself. Anytime I focus on someone else, when I focus on service and serving others, that's what has always kept me going. Knowing that I'm on the right path.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Purpose-driven work. Teaching what I have learned to others. Growing where you're planted. Service and serving others.
