About Kellie
Dr. Kellie Kirksey, Ph.D., is a global wellness consultant, holistic psychotherapist, mind-body specialist, poet, speaker, and trainer with more than three decades of experience in integrative medicine and holistic wellness. She earned her master’s degree and Ph.D. in Psychology and Counselor Education from The Ohio State University and has served as a professor and counselor educator, training therapists at the graduate level. Her career reflects a strong commitment to healing, creativity, cultural humility, social justice, and helping individuals reconnect with their inner resources.
Dr. Kirksey spent nearly a decade with the Cleveland Clinic Center for Integrative Medicine, where she worked as a holistic psychotherapist and wellness consultant and contributed to the development of integrative approaches to pain management. She co-created the Cleveland Clinic’s Integrative Pain Management Program, incorporating practices such as hypnotherapy, drumming, expressive arts, sound healing, movement, and breathwork. Her professional expertise also includes EMDR, expressive arts therapy, advanced clinical hypnotherapy, mind-body medicine, labyrinth facilitation, nervous system regulation, and workplace wellness. She currently serves as teaching faculty at the NW Center for Creative and Expressive Arts Therapy and leads Creative Wellness Solutions.
Beyond her clinical and academic work, Dr. Kirksey is a passionate writer, poet, educator, and advocate for culturally responsive approaches to wellness. She founded the Urban Labyrinth Project and has authored Word Medicine: Affirmations and Poems to Support and Inspire Your Journey and Poetry, Prose and Miscellaneous Musings Vol. 1, using creative expression to encourage reflection, resilience, and healing. Her work continues to bring together therapeutic practices, cultural traditions, creativity, and mind-body awareness, with the goal of helping people discover their own pathways toward balance and well-being.
