Kelly Blickle serves as Head of Marketing for MPP Global, where she oversees strategic marketing initiatives for MPP Global, Lippmann, McCloskey International, and MPP Aftermarket within the heavy equipment manufacturing industry. With more than two decades of marketing experience, Kelly has built a distinguished career focused on brand development, global marketing strategy, customer engagement, and strengthening market presence for industrial organizations. She began her career in the early 2000s as a summer intern at Putzmeister while still in high school and upon college graduation kicked-off her career there as a Marketing Specialist, progressing into a Marketing Manager role in 2008, a position she held through 2019. Throughout her career, Kelly has demonstrated exceptional leadership in building and expanding marketing programs. After gaining experience outside the manufacturing sector, she joined Lippmann as Marketing Manager, where she developed the company’s marketing department from the ground up and helped elevate its brand presence. Her expertise includes strategic marketing, brand management, digital marketing, advertising, event management, and global communications. Kelly’s ability to combine creativity with business strategy has allowed her to successfully support organizational growth and create meaningful connections with customers, dealers, and industry partners. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with an emphasis in Direct and Internet Marketing, along with a minor in Advertising, from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her professional accomplishments include receiving the Power Award at Lippmann, the MVP Award and Sensational 6 Award at Putzmeister, and multiple industry recognitions for innovative marketing campaigns, including Telly and Bell Awards and other creative excellence awards. Kelly attributes her success to the mentorship and guidance she received early in her career, as well as her confidence, resilience, and ability to thrive in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kelly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the mentorship, guidance, and relationships I built throughout my career, especially during my time in a management role at Putzmeister. I was fortunate to learn from experienced leaders, colleagues, and industry partners who shared their knowledge and helped me grow both professionally and personally. Building strong relationships within the manufacturing industry, believing in my abilities, and having the confidence to contribute my perspective have been essential to my journey. As a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field, I learned the importance of not being intimidated by being the only woman in the room, but instead recognizing that I belong at the table and have valuable insights to offer. My confidence, resilience, and commitment to continuous learning have allowed me to embrace challenges and continue advancing throughout my career.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is, “You’ve got this. It takes time, but you’ve got this, and you can do it. Keep pushing forward.” That encouragement has reminded me throughout my career that growth does not happen overnight and that perseverance is essential. I have learned the importance of trusting my abilities, staying committed to my goals, and continuing to move forward even when challenges arise. Believing in myself and maintaining a positive mindset have helped me navigate obstacles, embrace opportunities, and continue growing as a professional.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to go for it, embrace opportunities, and do not let fear hold you back. Believe in your abilities, be willing to try new things, and continue pushing forward even when challenges arise. It is important to follow your passion, seek out opportunities for growth, and have confidence in the value you bring to the table. The industry needs diverse perspectives and strong leaders, so never underestimate your voice, your ideas, or your ability to make an impact.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and how it is transforming the marketing industry. While AI provides valuable tools that can improve efficiency and help complete certain tasks more quickly, I believe it is important to recognize the experience, creativity, strategy, and human connection that professionals bring to their work. Seeing tasks that once required significant time and expertise completed in a short amount of time through AI can sometimes feel as though it devalues the work behind them. However, I also see AI as an opportunity to adapt, continue learning, and find ways to use technology as a tool while maintaining the creativity, critical thinking, and strategic insight that make marketing truly impactful.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, trust, and really in general being a good human being. I believe in being reliable, following through on my commitments, and treating others with respect and kindness. Building strong relationships through trust and authenticity has been a key part of my personal and professional success. I also value collaboration and believe that the best results come from working together, supporting one another, and creating an environment where people feel respected, valued, and able to contribute their best.
