01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of persistence, relationship-building, and a deep commitment to understanding my customers’ needs. I focus on being proactive rather than reactive—anticipating challenges, following through on commitments, and maintaining clear, consistent communication. By taking the time to truly understand technical requirements and business objectives, I position myself as a trusted partner rather than just a supplier. My work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile to solve problems have allowed me to build long-term relationships and consistently deliver results.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Titles change. Industries shift. Technology evolves. But if you consistently build a reputation for being reliable, resourceful, and solution-oriented, you’ll always have opportunities. Focus less on chasing promotions and more on developing skills, delivering results, and making your manager’s and customers’ lives easier.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Manufacturing is still male-dominated in many environments, but competence, preparation, and confidence speak loudly. Learn the products, processes, and terminology inside and out. When you know your material, you don’t have to fight for credibility — it shows.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Global trade volatility, tariff uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and lingering disruptions from recent global events continue to make supply chains less predictable. Manufacturers are focusing on diversification and resilience, but supply chain flexibility remains a key operational stressor.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

On the manufacturing side, resilience and adaptability are critical values right now. On a personal level, the values that tend to matter most — especially for people building careers in high-pressure industries — are similar.

If I had to narrow it down, the most important values in work and life are:

Integrity.

Doing what you say you’ll do. Being honest even when it’s uncomfortable. Long-term trust is built here.

Accountability.

Owning outcomes — good or bad. Growth accelerates when you stop blaming circumstances and start asking, “What could I have done differently?”

Resilience.

Industries shift. Markets tighten. Orders get delayed. Life throws curveballs. The ability to adapt without losing focus is powerful.

Continuous growth.

Staying curious. Improving your skills. Learning from mistakes instead of avoiding them.

Respect for people.

Whether it’s operators on a shop floor, executives in a boardroom, or family at home — how you treat people defines your legacy more than any title ever will.

Interestingly, the same values that make manufacturers strong in volatile supply chains — flexibility, reliability, long-term thinking — are the same values that create strong careers and fulfilling personal lives.
