I've been with Florida Cooling Solutions Incorporated since 2019, starting as basically just a glorified customer service assistant and working my way up to operations manager. I actually came to the company after working as a personal assistant for the owner's wife. The owner had gone through a couple of girls and finally decided to bring me into the office. I had never had an office job before, never had any QuickBooks experience, nothing in the HVAC industry. I just kind of went in with fire to the wall and gradually worked my way up. My main areas of expertise are leadership and my drive - I just get things done. On a daily basis, I do all our sales meetings with our technicians every morning, go over previous day sales, reviews that came in, new customers, new leads. We constantly train on how to do upsells and offer different options for customers. I do a lot of role-playing with the guys to keep them comfortable. This year I got heavily into our marketing role, trying to grow the business. I'm with the company more than 80 hours a week because we're a small company and I still do all the customer service, all the dispatching, and have the phones all day. Some of my most notable professional achievements include taking the company from having no software, basically pen and paper, to being all digital, and implementing a functional inventory plan last year that works with our guys, management staff, and the owners. The owner, Eric, opened the company in 2004, and we've had customers since then who have gotten to know and love me and have grown with me. We service both residential and commercial clients, doing maintenance, service, repair, and replacements throughout Lee County.
