About Kelly
Kelly J is a mental health advocate and coach who has been active in the mental health industry since 2012 or 2013. She founded her own company, FITE, which stands for Focusing on Growth and Holding Together. The organization aims to educate the public, break the stigma surrounding mental health, and increase overall awareness. Kelly J shares her personal journey of living with mental illness and being eight years in recovery from suicide and self-harm through speaking engagements and daily posts. As a coach, she works with individuals struggling mentally to help them look forward to the future and navigate their daily challenges. She earned her coaching degree from Light University, where her studies are faith-based, and she is board certified as a master mental health coach. Kelly J has also received her leadership certification through eCornell and is preparing to become a peer support specialist. Her most notable professional achievement is obtaining board certification as a master mental health coach after completing her regular and youth mental health coaching programs.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Go for it. Share your story or if someone has a loved one living with it, embrace them, learn it, and help break the stigma. Let them know that they are here, they do matter. Not only do the people that you help matter, but you matter because you're stepping out.
