About Kelly
I am a racquet sports and club operations leader with over two decades of experience in private club management, sports programming, and corporate events, currently serving as Director of Racquets at Onion Creek Club with Arcis Golf, a role I have held since August 2019, where I lead racquet sports operations, programming, and member engagement at a premier private club.
Prior to this role, I served as Director of Sports at Cimarron Hills Golf and Country Club for over fourteen years, where I managed sports programming, events, and operations for a distinguished private club community.
I studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Odessa College and Lamar University, where I developed a strong foundation in sports science and fitness that has informed my approach to sports programming and member wellness throughout my career.
Across my career in private club and sports management, my work has been driven by a commitment to creating exceptional member experiences, building vibrant sports communities, and delivering high-quality programming that enhances the club experience for members and guests. Whether I am leading racquet sports operations, managing sports programs, or coordinating corporate events, I bring a strategic, member-focused approach and a dedication to excellence that has defined my career. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue serving members and advancing sports programming at Onion Creek Club.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kelly
01What do you attribute your success to?
Not being afraid to try new things, being forward-facing, putting myself out there, networking well, and taking chances. Women don't always network as well, so doing a good job at that has helped.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't quit, and have no regrets.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be really involved, volunteer, say yes as much as you can to different roles and committees to get a seat at the table, be visible, active, and don't be afraid to speak up. Every job I've gotten is because I knew someone.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Need more coaches and showing that it's a viable career path for new people coming into the sport, with opportunity for growth. Focusing on going out to communities to provide mentorship and coaching opportunities to inspire college or high school athletes.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, accountability (owning mistakes), reliability, consistency, and showing up.
