About Kelly

Kelly McGovern serves as Account Representative and Business Development at 0Enterprise Staffing in New Orleans, Louisiana. With 22 years in the staffing industry, she began her career at Avondale Shipyard, starting as a secretary before advancing to Tier 1 hiring for marine electricians and then into recruiting and account management. After the shipyard closed, Kelly transitioned into industrial staffing and later focused on commercial electrical staffing for the past 11 years. She specializes in placing electricians and skilled trades professionals on commercial projects, including major work on high-rise buildings construction, large projects from underground to trim out, and other large New Orleans area initiatives. Kelly has grown Enterprise Staffing into the largest locally owned electrical staffing company in the region by building a robust database of candidates, achieving 60 percent referrals, and prioritizing client relationships and employee fit over quotas. Her approach emphasizes treating workers like family, ensuring proper safety gear and experience, and managing accounts from start to finish. She values integrity in staffing, refusing to move workers from smaller accounts to larger ones for overtime, and aims to provide careers rather than just jobs. Looking ahead, Kelly aspires to consult on workforce pipeline management for recruiters and skilled trades companies.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kelly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I knew skilled trades staffing was my career from the beginning. I understand the customer need to get qualified workers to produce. The best times in my career, was hiring a helper out of school and is now running million dollar new construction projects. I enjoy giving workers the opportunity to suceed and grow with very large electrical amd skilled trade contractors that are great places to work.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

If you go to work and learn and want to work you will succeed. I believe working and learning an electrical trade can open doors for long time and needed high level positions.

Also, work ethic is big. Your work shows who you are. Always think before quitting for little things because most of the time the grass is not greener.... you have to cut both sides.

My workers through years have become a family. I treat them with respect and get much more from them.
