Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kelly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say the Lord first for sure. But I would say the people that have helped empower me, and one of the biggest ones would be my pastor Chris Smothers. I have other mentors like Jensen Franklin. The struggles that I've been through have also given me a resolve that you just never stop. You keep moving and you keep a goal ahead no matter how big or small.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Make sure you surround yourself with people that are better than you in the aspect of where you're trying to head or where you're trying to go because you don't want to be the smartest person in the room. You have to make sure you're surrounding yourself with people that have gone far beyond where you're at otherwise your growth is stunted.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value people. People is the biggest thing I value. I think they're your greatest investment. I think they're your greatest return. I value their time, anything I can do to help them succeed. My success is their success, their success is my success. I value people, relationship.
