What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, deep expertise, and persistence. By knowing the work thoroughly and putting in the effort, I’ve built credibility and developed a professional reputation that opens opportunities in both corporate and consulting settings.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I received was to focus on how companies can be more proficient and efficient internally. Understanding end-to-end operations at a high level has been critical to my growth and leadership.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women not to take on more than they have to just to prove themselves. Women in corporate America are often conditioned to over-extend themselves to show competence, which can compound frustration and burnout. It’s important to contribute strategically and with focus, rather than trying to constantly prove value against others.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is gender bias and the credibility gap for women. Women often have to work “twice as hard” and know “twice as much” to gain recognition. Another challenge is the lack of leadership-development support after leaving large corporate environments, which makes establishing independent consulting credibility more difficult.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I prioritize devotion to family, leadership development, honesty about the realities of gender inequity, and professional integrity. Maintaining these values ensures that my work is impactful while remaining aligned with my personal principles.
