About Kelly
Kelly Regard serves as a Project Services Specialist for Colliers Engineering and Design in New York. With two years of experience in the engineering field, she supports multiple project managers and discipline leaders by handling everyday management tasks such as formatting, scheduling, and invoicing to keep projects on track. Prior to this, she worked in automotive and construction, including a role at an electrical contractor. She completed high school and is currently participating in project manager training through her employer. Kelly values quality time with family, effective communication, and reliability in both her work and personal life. She volunteers with the American Red Cross and supports breast cancer initiatives. Her career advice emphasizes staying focused, working hard, and tackling tasks one at a time, while she encourages young women entering the industry to persevere through challenges.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Stay focused, work hard, and handle tasks one at a time so you don't get distracted.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Work hard even on bad days because tomorrow should be better. I grew up on food stamps as a single mom, left my ex-husband, and pushed through.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Work-life balance is a big challenge, especially when bosses without kids don't understand needs like picking up children from school.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Quality time with family, communication, and reliability - showing people they can count on you.
